Digital Inclusion & Safety

About

Aminata wants to make the digital world a safer and more inclusive place for women, youth, and children. She began her journey in 2020 with UNICEF’s Young Bloggers programme, fighting online disinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, as Vice-President of Centre Marée de Lumière, she supports projects that give young people and women the chance to learn essential digital skills.

Work

Through programmes such as Digital O’Féminin Tour and Digital Dès la Base, Aminata and her organization have already trained more than 600 women and 200 adolescents. Many of them have gone on to start businesses, become content creators, or continue advanced training. She also co-authored UNICEF’s Web Use Guide for Teens and Youth and is advocating for digital education to become part of Côte d’Ivoire’s national school curriculum.
