2020 YOUNG ACTIVISTS SUMMIT
On World Children’s Day on 20 November 2020, the Young Activists Summit (#YAS20) brought together seven young activists advancing climate action, biodiversity, human rights, sustainable & ethical fashion.
The coronavirus crisis has been a massive disrupter but also an opportunity to rethink the world we want for tomorrow. Young people have the right to demand that the recovery plans they will fund be spent on rebuilding sustainable societies that protect the interests of present and future generations.
At a critical time for our planet and humanity, #YAS20 brought together around 9,000 people from 106 countries across five continents for a global live discussion on some of the world’s biggest challenges.
#YAS20 was co-organised by the NGO dev.tv, the United Nations Office at Geneva, Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) and its GenèveVision label, and by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
